Accessibility Statement
We want bytecovesoftware.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes the steps we take, the standard we aim for, and how to tell us when something does not work for you.
Our commitment
Accessibility is part of how we build software, and we hold our own website to the same standard. We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a one-time checkbox, and we fix issues as we find them or as they are reported to us.
Standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive differences. We use WCAG 2.1 AA as our reference point even though we are a small studio and have not had a formal third-party audit.
What we have done
Steps we have taken on this site include:
- Using semantic HTML structure (clear headings, landmarks, lists, and labeled form fields) so assistive technology can interpret the page;
- Providing a "Skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the navigation;
- Making navigation, links, and the contact form operable with a keyboard;
- Honoring the operating-system "reduce motion" setting, which turns off animations and transitions for visitors who prefer that;
- Choosing text and background colors intended to maintain readable contrast;
- Providing text alternatives for meaningful images and marking decorative graphics so they are skipped by screen readers; and
- Using a responsive layout that adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. In particular, parts of the experience that depend on third-party services we embed or link to — such as our scheduling provider — are outside our direct control and may not meet the same standard. If you run into a barrier anywhere on the site, please tell us so we can help and prioritize a fix.
Getting information another way
If any content on this site is difficult to access, we are happy to provide the information in another format or to help you another way — for example, by email or over the phone. Just reach out using the details below.
Feedback and contact
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of this website. If you encounter a problem or need help, email support@bytecovesoftware.com or tbearden@bytecovesoftware.com and let us know the page and what happened. We aim to respond within a few business days.
